Mumiy Troll in Nha Trang: The Climax of Their Asian Tour in Vietnam
The legendary band Mumiy Troll is preparing to perform in Nha Trang, marking the climax of their winter Asian tour. The Vietnamese resort town will host the musicians on January 8, following their appearances at a gala dinner in Phuket and a major concert at the Lotus Arena in Pattaya. While the specific venue in Vietnam has yet to be announced, the event promises to be a spectacular finale to the New Year holidays.
The band's story began in Vladivostok in 1983, when Ilya Lagutenko formed his first group. True fame arrived in 1997 with the album *Morskaya* ("Marine"), which brought Russian rock out of the underground and into the mainstream of pop culture. Hits such as "Utekay," "Vladivostok 2000," and "Devochka" propelled them to stardom, and the band went on to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2001. Today, their discography boasts over a dozen studio albums, including the English-language release *Malibu Alibi*.
Nha Trang is a popular Vietnamese resort town renowned for its warm waters and sunny days. January marks the start of the dry season, making it the perfect time for an open-air live music event.
